Community Interest Company
As a Community Interest Company, we know we need to give back to the community. We have support workers and counsellors who are trained in these areas to enable the best support for the communities we have identified. We will do this by using the surplus from the training to fund these programmes for free, at the point of delivery.
We aim to support:
- Young people in abusive relationships,
- Young parents,
- Young people who have experienced sexual abuse or rape,
- Families who are facing cancer.
Our Vision
NW Counselling Hub CIC (NWCH) aims to provide a central hub to support children, young people, adults, families and couples within Lincolnshire.
The hub will deliver essential support for trainee counsellors and qualified counsellors via; training, CPD, networking, supervision, an open-door policy and a support line.
NWCH enables local people to start a new career in counselling in a safe, ethical, moral, empowering and empathic environment.
Our work:
- Enable people across Lincolnshire to access counselling, training and work opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies to offer advice, support and guidance, to enhance people’s mental health and well-being needs.
- Support qualified and trainee counsellors with networking and CPD opportunities.
- Deliver supervision and mentoring for professionals.
- Offer a nurturing environment for young children and families.
- Provide counselling to children, young people, adults, couples and families within Lincolnshire, enabling them to have the opportunity to improve their mental health, well-being and relationships.
- Offer young people the opportunity to attend support groups that enhance their personal development.
- Provide young parents a safe place to build relationships and life skills to enhance their future opportunities.
- Offer young people in abusive relationships a safe environment to learn about healthy relationships and build new friendships.
- Support victims of sexual abuse and rape with free counselling.
Who we are…
NWCH was founded on 1st April 2017 by Naomi Watkins and Alex Parkin. As co-founders, we felt that there were gaps in the local community for supporting people’s mental health and wellbeing. We decided to create the Counselling Hub to aim to fill these gaps. Our vision is to provide a central hub to support children, young people, adults and families within Lincolnshire.
